for my big girl

as i was shopping for some last minute school supplies sunday night (the night before my daughter's first full week of kindergarten) i had an idea. i wanted to get her something special. something for a real big girl. a necklace. and not your little-girl-dress-up variety. a real grown-up necklace. i found this at target.

it felt so bittersweet to give her something special as i sent her off to a new part of her life that i won't get to experience with her. 

her mommy and brother are missing her a lot these days as we all adjust!
