Quick Update

yes, we're still alive. things are still going well, but i just feel like life is in perpetual fast-forward mode. we never seem to slow down! rachel's still doing well with potty training. there are accidents here and there (especially at in her sunday night puggles class at church for some reason... sorry about that!) but most of her pee pee does in fact land in a potty. we've even done a couple public restrooms so far! so i consider her offically "potty trained but still practicing." no more diapers for rachel!

lucas is growing like crazy. he's outgrowing all kinds of clothes. i'm about to dig in the closet for the bigger stuff! he's back to doing a solid 5 hours at night (not as good as 6, but he is only 7 weeks old and 5 ain't bad!). i'm starting to feel the fact that i haven't had a full nights sleep in 7 weeks a lot more. i'm getting a decent amount of sleep, but i guess it's because it's fragmented and just not the best quality. ah well. it happens.

i applied for a job at a day care center in cary. i'd be able to take both rachel and lucas with me and just get paid a little less (but it feels like free child care to me!). i'm waiting to hear back about it. the lady said the only thing holding her back about hiring me is that their infant room is so full now. she said she'd try to hire some other people and tweak some people's schedules to see if she can get me in. if nothing else, she said she'd call me if there was a day when the infant room was low and i could come in for the day. hey, better than nothing i guess! so we'll see about that.

well, that's all i can think of for now. our lives are pretty rhythmic and repetative these days :).

this week we had 3 accidents! they were all at the same time! And we ask all the time if they have to go. Oh well...guess we just need more potty's with everyone in the class at the same potty training stage. I never mind cleaning up after sweet Rachel. It's hard to get their fast enough when there is so much fun to be had.
