5 months of being brother and sister

You know you have momnesia when...

...you walk upstairs to the changing table with the intent on changing your baby's diaper, but then when you get to the table you realize you forgot the baby.

An Intense Mommy Moment

my babies were napping, so i decided to walk the dog and check the mail at the same time. i'm not good at multi-tasking, but i try. in the mail, there was a letter from our church. they always send them out at this time of year if your child is being promoted to a new classroom, just so everyone knows where to drop their children off in august. well, this time, it was particularly jarring to me.

at the bottom of the letter, is distinctly says

"Rachel will be in the 3A class in room 102.
Lucas will be in the Crawlers class in room 107."

not only do i have a child in the 3 YEAR OLD CLASS, but my not-quite 5 month old (he will be 6 months then) is already getting promoted from the regular infant room. i seriously almost started crying right there. i'm putting the letter in the baby book. :)

Down To Business...

we just got back today from a very enjoyable trip to visit chuck's family in VA. it's always a bummer to come back to normalcy, but i'm ready to take on this next month...

we need to be out of this townhouse by august 9th, so that gives us about 4 more weeks here. since i have 4 major rooms of stuff to sort through/pack/sell, that works out pretty nicely for my little compartmentalized brain. i'll be tackling one room per week (or at least that's the goal) and organizing and deciding what can stay around until december and what can go now (to family/friends, good will, ebay, or the yard sale pile). wish me luck.

i have a lot more pictures to put on here, but i just haven't gotten a chance to yet. don't worry. i'll make sure you all get your beautiful children fix soon enough.
